Building Phygital Bridges Between the Digital and Physical Worlds:

Deutsche Telekom at MWC 2022

 

As a creative professional dedicated to shaping innovative and memorable experiences, I was honored to collaborate with Deutsche Telekom in designing, directing, and producing their stand for the 2022 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. In this post-pandemic edition of the MWC, where the technology sector sought to reconnect with its audience, the Deutsche Telekom stand was crafted with the intent to do more than showcase technology—it was designed to bring people, ideas, and innovation into harmony, creating a uniquely immersive environment that spoke to the heart of the user experience.

 

This commission from Deutsche Telekom required a careful balance of cutting-edge design and emotional resonance, tailored to a setting where the importance of technology in human connection had never been more prominent. Antonyo Marest, the chosen artist for this project, played a pivotal role in achieving this vision. His art, known for its psychological sensitivity to color and form, was integrated to facilitate an environment where users could feel both engaged and at ease. The thoughtfully selected color fields and spatial design, emphasizing warmth and inclusivity, allowed attendees to connect on a sensory level, which aligned with Deutsche Telekom’s mission of fostering connectivity and engagement.

 

My role as Art Director and Project Manager involved overseeing every detail of this project, from conceptualizing the stand’s immersive design to ensuring that each aesthetic element served the brand’s intent. In collaboration with Marest, I directed the project to merge technology with a visual experience that was both innovative and approachable. This stand embodied Deutsche Telekom’s core values: connectivity, innovation, and forward-thinking vision. Every aspect of the design was intended to resonate on a deeper level with visitors, encouraging them to see technology not merely as a tool, but as a means of building stronger, more meaningful relationships in our increasingly digital world.

 

This project stands as an example of the unique value I bring to brand experiences, blending current trends, advanced design principles, and human-centered concepts. My goal is always to create environments where brand identity and user connection coexist, offering clients like Deutsche Telekom the opportunity to communicate their message in ways that feel both fresh and profoundly relevant. As a professional focused on creating experiences that connect technology, people, and the present moment, I look forward to shaping more such interactions where innovation meets human touch.
