🇪🇺 Make Europe  Building Bridges:

Street Art for a Harmonious Community

As Art Director & Project Manager selected by the European Parliament in 2022 for the Make Europe Bloom project, I proudly took on the responsibility of leading the artistic team, production, and institutional relations for the mural on the facade of the Junta Central Fallera. This project, painted by Antonyo Marest, is the only urban art mural within the City of Arts and Sciences and represents an essential dialogue between the city’s old and new neighbourhoods, between the classical and the contemporary, and between the power of thought and the power of the people, symbolizing the bridges that connect diverse communities and fostering a shared vision toward a more positive, human-centred future.

The mural embodies the essence of unity and collaboration, designed to promote harmony among Valencia’s evolving neighbourhoods. Using an abstract, narrative style, each element reflects the connections that shape a vibrant and inclusive community. The colors and forms create a visual journey, inviting viewers to see themselves as part of a collective path toward growth and integration.

This Art Work, personally recognized and praised by political representatives, several European heads of state, and the leadership of the European Parliament at a European leaders’ meeting, provided me with the opportunity to communicate to political institutions the importance of connecting institutions with people. It illustrated how culture, art, and innovation can create unique opportunities for people, institutions, and private enterprises to converge. This experience reaffirms my commitment to crafting a cohesive and powerful visual language. Every detail in the project was designed to convey ideals of unity, progress, and solidarity toward a harmonious future, a reflection of today’s Valencia.

«Begin the Beginning» — the theme of this mural — is more than a visual concept; it’s a call to action for all who view it. The mural envisions a city strengthened by diversity and inclusion, where each neighborhood plays a vital role in a hopeful, shared tomorrow.
